fpSetExtractionTimeout()

This function specifies the length of time that should elapse before assuming that out-of-process extraction has stopped responding.

Syntax

BOOL pascal fpSetExtractionTimeout( void *pContext,
long lTimeout );

Arguments

pContext A pointer returned from fpInit().
lTimeout The length of time, in seconds, that must elapse before assuming that out-of-process extraction has stopped responding.

Returns

Discussion

If this API is not used in out-of-process mode, the filter timeout duration is used on the fpOpenFile() call. See fpSetTimeout().

Example

/* set extraction timeouts to 10 minutes */

if (FALSE == extractInterface->fpSetExtractionTimeout(pContext, 600))
{
   /* could not set the extraction timeout */
}
