Maintaining the System

You might need to perform some system maintenance such as archiving or cleaning up old taxonomies. You can

Suspend and resume operations for the clients using Business Console.

 

Reset a client instance.

 

 

 
Note   You must have K2 Administrator privileges to perform these system tasks.
 

 

Suspend and Resume Client Operations

You can suspend client operations temporarily. Suspending the operations closes all open taxonomies so you can create snapshots.

1. In your browser, open http://<hostname>:<port>/verity_bconsole/admin.jsp.

2. Type your user ID and password.

3. Click Next. The Administrator Diagnostics page displays.



4. Click Suspend Clients.

5. After you have completed your work, click Resume Clients.

Reset an Instance

Resetting your server instance removes the Verity Business Console entities from the K2 system. Use of this option is not recommended.

1. In your browser, open http://<hostname>:<port>/verity_bconsole/admin.jsp.

2. Type your user ID and password.

3. Click Next.

4. Check the Proceed with Reset? option.

5. Click Preview Steps to view the possible effects of the reset.

6. Click Reset Instance to perform the reset.
