MaxProcessingSessions

The maximum number of processing sessions to start concurrently as a result of requests from upstream Media Servers. If you do not want to accept any requests from upstream Media Servers, set this parameter to 0.

This parameter limits the number of requests started by upstream servers through Post output tasks, but not through remote analysis. To limit the number of processing sessions that are started as a result of remote analysis requests, use the configuration parameter RemoteAnalysisConfigurations.

If this limit is exceeded the additional requests are queued. Requests can remain in the queue unless they reach the timeout specified by QueueTimeout. When a request is queued, the upstream Media Server does not start ingesting media until the downstream Media Server is ready to begin processing.

TIP:

Requests from upstream Media Servers are not started using the process action, so this parameter and [Process] MaximumThreads are not related.
