Creates an image file from a video frame stored in the rolling buffer.

Media Server creates the image from a frame as close as possible to the specified time value. However, if there is no video that corresponds exactly to the requested time, the actual timestamp of the returned frame may differ.

Parameter Description Required
OutputFormat The output format for the image. The default returns a JPEG image. No
Stream The stream in the rolling buffer to create the image from. Yes
Time The time that the desired frame occurs. (EPOCH milliseconds or ISO-8601 format). You must use UTC time. Yes

You can use the parameters Output and FileName to write the image to disk. If the value you specify for FileName contains a file extension that matches a supported image format, Media Server will output the image in this format.

The following example demonstrates how to write a PNG image to disk:

The action returns the image.
