The draw transformation engine draws lines and shapes on images and video frames. For example, if you run face detection you can use this engine to draw an outline around each detected face.
The input records must contain an image, and should contain metadata describing the regions that you want to draw. If you configure drawing without a Lua script, HPE Media Server draws ellipses around detected faces, polygons around number plates, and either a polygon or bounding box around other regions. If you set the parameter LuaScript, your Lua script specifies what to draw.
The regions drawn by this transformation are permanent and become part of the image. To draw an overlay on a video, that can be turned on and off, use the Overlay Transformation Engine.
