MaxNumParallel

The maximum number of threads that a single training action can use.

You can set this parameter in several sections of the configuration file. For example, if you set this parameter in the [BuildClassifier] section, it specifies the maximum number of threads that a single BuildClassifier action can use. If you set this parameter in the [BuildObject] section it specifies the maximum number of threads that a single BuildObject action can use.

The total number of threads that HPE Media Server can use for running training actions of a specific type is the value of MaximumThreads for the relevant action, multiplied by the value of this parameter for the relevant action.

Example:

In the following example, each BuildAllFaces action can use up to 4 threads. The MaximumThreads parameter specifies that only one BuildAllFaces action can run simultaneously, so HPE Media Server does not use more than 4 threads for running BuildAllFaces actions.

Each BuildClassifier action can use up to 8 threads. The MaximumThreads parameter specifies that up to two BuildClassifier actions can run simultaneously, so HPE Media Server uses up to 16 threads for training object classifiers.
