HPE Media Server can use a graphics card (GPU) to significantly increase the speed of some types of training and analysis.
This parameter specifies whether to enable GPU support when HPE Media Server starts, so that a GPU is used for operations that run faster on a GPU. Set this parameter to one of the following values:
auto- Enable GPU support if one is available, otherwise start HPE Media Server without GPU support.
true- Enable GPU support. HPE Media Server does not start if the server has no GPU or the requirements for using the GPU have not been met.
false- Do not enable GPU support.
If HPE Media Server is configured to use a GPU but you attempt to run more operations than the GPU can process concurrently, your training action or
process action will fail.
Several requirements must be met before you can use a GPU. For information about how to use a GPU with HPE Media Server, refer to the HPE Media Server Administration Guide.
