Pre-index Tasks
You can set up a simple process by configuring IDOL server to execute a single task on incoming documents, or set up a complex process by configuring IDOL server to combine a number of tasks.
IDOL server can execute the following basic pre-indexing tasks:

to alert users to new documents that IDOL server receives, if these documents are similar to agents that the users own.
to extract information embedded in unstructured data and store it in structured fields (refer to the Eduction User Guide).
to send an HTTP call out to a Web interface (for example, you can connect to a third-party Web application to store your data on a legacy SQL database).
to evaluate the quality of files produced as a result of optical character recognition, and to route the files according to their quality.
