Create Named Taxonomies
You can take advantage of the hierarchical nature of the IDOL server Categorization capability to manually create and store named taxonomies in IDOL server. You can then use those taxonomies to scope searches or suggestions.
If you set up a hierarchy of categories using the CategoryCreate or CategoryImportFromXML actions, you can then execute CategorySetDetails for the topmost category with TaxonomyRoot set to true.
If you use actions such as CategoryCreate or CategoryImportFromXML to set up a hierarchy of categories, you can then execute CategorySetDetails for the topmost category with TaxonomyRoot set to true. That category becomes the root of the new taxonomy and its name is the new taxonomy name.
You also can generate a named taxonomy automatically by running the TaxonomyGenerate action and setting TaxonomyRoot to true.
You can subsequently use the taxonomy name as a parameter in actions such as CategoryFind and CategorySuggestFromDocument, to restrict the scope of the action results.
