Use this section when you are using a unified IDOL Server configuration with the Distributed Action Handler and Distributed Index Handler components for a distributed setup. In this case, you configure DAH and DIH in the unified IDOL Server configuration file, and distribute actions to child IDOL Content components.
[DIHEngines] section sets the total number of child servers that DIH distributes to. You must also create a
[DIHEngineN] subsection for each of the child servers, in which you specify the child server details.
Use this option to configure the child servers when you want to configure different child servers for the DAH and DIH. For example, you might be using a chained DIH and DAH architecture, such that the top-level DAH distributes actions to child DAH components, and the top-level DIH distributes actions to child DIH components.
In this configuration, you specify the DAH child servers in the
[DAHEngines] section (see [DAHEngines] Section).
If your DAH and DIH distribute actions to the same child servers (for example, IDOL Content components), you can use
[IDOLServerN] to specify the child servers. See [DistributionIDOLServers] Section.
