Content searches. You can submit natural language text or a piece of content to HPE IDOL Server. It returns references to conceptually related documents ranked by relevance or contextual distance.
Natural language queries make it possible for users to find results without having to be familiar with search algorithms or syntax. Online shoppers, for example, can find specific items without knowing the exact product or brand name.
Community searches. You can create agents from natural language and then match them conceptually. You can also submit profiles or natural language text to HPE IDOL Server. It returns agents ranked by conceptual similarity. This process determines which users have similar interests, which promotes collaboration, and identifies experts in a field.
Category searches. You can submit a piece of content to HPE IDOL Server, for which it returns categories ranked by conceptual similarity. This process determines which categories the piece of content is most appropriate for, so that HPE IDOL Server can tag, route, or file the piece of content accordingly.
Clusters. You can use HPE IDOL Server to organize large volumes of content or large numbers of profiles into self-consistent clusters. Clustering is an automatic agglomerative technique that allows HPE IDOL Server to partition data by grouping together information that contains similar concepts.
