Eduction License

Topics in this Section

NOTE The License Server is required if you are using eductionserver, the Eduction Index Tasks module, and CFS. If you are using the eduction API or edktool, a license file is required.
The license file for version 7 will not work for version 10.1 or above - users with a license for version 7 will require a new license file for this release.
An Autonomy License Server controls the license that enables you to run Autonomy solutions. You must have a running Autonomy License Server that resides on a machine with a static, known IP address, MAC address, or host name.
You can revoke licenses at any time if, for example, you want to reallocate them to different clients or if you want to change a client IP address.

IMPORTANT Taking any of the following actions causes the licensed module to become inoperable.
You must not:
*
change the IP address of the machine on which a licensed module runs (if you use an IP address to lock your license)
All modules produce a license.log and a service.log file. If a product fails to start, examine the contents of these files before submitting a support ticket.
