edktool Command-Line Tool > Eduction Parameters > CaseNormalization

CaseNormalization
This parameter controls case conversion of all incoming text. Use this parameter to convert all text to lowercase or uppercase before attempting to match text, which can improve performance.
This parameter takes the following values:
*
None. No effect on incoming text.
*
Lower. All incoming text is converted to lowercase.
*
Upper. All incoming text is converted to uppercase.
If your grammar file consists of only lower or only uppercase characters but your text contains mixed case, setting CaseNormalization to Lower or Upper respectively improves performance, compared to setting MatchCase to false.
If you set this parameter to Lower or Upper, set MatchCase to true.

NOTE When using the Eduction Linguistic Sentiment Analysis grammar, HP Autonomy recommends that you set this parameter to Lower and the MatchCase parameter to true to ensure optimal performance.
