DREEXPIRE

Allows you to delete or archive documents that have reached a specific age. By default, documents are deleted when they expire. To archive them instead, specify the name of the database to use for archiving in the ExpireIntoDatabase parameter in each of the DIH configuration file database sections.

The date that determines whether a document must be expired can be read from a field in the document or from the expiry time that is set for the database that contains the document. If DIH is unable to determine whether a document must be expired (because the document does not contain a field that sets its expiry date and the document database has no expiry time set), DIH does not expire the document.

Example

http://12.3.4.56:20001/DREEXPIRE?

This index action uses port 20001 to expire the documents from DIH, which is located on a machine with the IP address 12.3.4.56.
