The maximum number of child server groups to use for indexing.

In RespectChildFullness mode, you can use this parameter to restrict DIH to index into only the first N non-full child server groups in your configuration. When a child server group becomes full, indexing then rolls over to the next non-full child server group.

If you have fewer than N non-full child server groups, DIH uses all of them for indexing. If all your groups are full, DIH uses the N least full groups.

When RespectChildFullnessMaxIndexingGroups is configured, DIH preferentially indexes into child server groups that have not been filled before, to ensure that it fills all servers before returning to previously filled servers. This process ensures that it does not revert to using a child server that becomes non-full after a small number of documents expire, unless all other servers are full.

This parameter allows you to limit the total I/O when your child servers are sharing capacity, for example when they are backed by the same SAN.
