Whether category IDs are mapped when the HPE Distributed Action Handler mirrors multiple category servers.
This parameter applies only to mirror mode.
In this mode of operation, HPE Distributed Action Handler does not require the category IDs of any category stored in two or more mirrored category servers to be identical. Instead, it maintains an internal mapping of the category IDs from all the category servers.
If this parameter is set to
false, HPE Distributed Action Handler does not maintain an internal mapping of the category IDs. Instead, it forces the ID of any category to be identical in all category servers. To enforce this standardization, the
CategoryCreate action generates a random 18-digit number for the category ID when a category ID is not specified by the user.
The advantage of operating in this mode is that two or more HPE Distributed Action Handlers can be used to mirror the same set of category servers, achieving redundancy in the HPE Distributed Action Handler.
