The total number of references or docids that the DAH requests from all of its child servers in each batch. If the Distributed Action Handler sends requests for a large amount of data to its child servers (for example, by including a high
Start value in an action), the Distributed Action Handler can use the abridged query format to speed up the query processing time.
When the abridged query format is enabled and used, initially the child servers return only enough data to determine the top results. Distributed Action Handler then requests the rest of the information for the top results, by sending
GetContent requests to the appropriate child servers.
Distributed Action Handler sends the
GetContent requests in batches, the size of which is determined by
AbridgedGetContentBatchSize. The batch size determines the total number of references or docids that the DAH requests in the batch, rather than the number of documents it requests from each individual child server. It determines the number of results to request from each child server according to the top results in the query results list.
AbridgedGetContentBatchSize parameter allows you to control the amount of memory the DAH uses to process query results.
