Distributed Action HandlerEngines Configuration Parameters

If you install and operate the Distributed Action Handler as integrated with IDOL, you can configure child engines for Distributed Action Handler and DIH separately. This option allows you increased flexibility when querying and indexing content in remote servers. For example, you might define multiple DIH child engines for content that you index through a combination of failover and mirroring.

Use the [DAHEngines] section to set the total number of IDOL servers to which the Distributed Action Handler sends actions.

You must create a [DAHEngineN] subsection for each child engines that Distributed Action Handler must send actions to. In this section, you specify the child server configuration details.

For example:

[DAHEngines]
Number=2

[DAHEngine0]
Host=localhost
Port=9000

[DAHEngine1]
Host=12.3.4.56
Port=9000

Note: This configuration for the Distributed Action Handler distribution child servers is not used for Standalone Distributed Action Handler.
