The maximum number of occurrences to index for any single term in each document section. Use this parameter to reduce the effect of very long documents on the size of the index.
When a term reaches the specified occurrence limit, IDOL Content Component does not index any further occurrences of the term in that document, and it cannot search these occurrences.
IDOL Content Component records the position of non-indexed occurrences of terms, so that exact phrase searches do not incorrectly match phrases that contain a non-indexed occurrence of a term. For example, if the phrase all computer operators occurs in a document after the term computer reaches the maximum occurrence limit, an exact phrase search for
"all operators" does not match.
