MaxDocumentCountUpper

The maximum number of documents that can be indexed into a server.

Use this setting in combination with MaxDocumentCountLower to control the stopping and starting of document indexing into a server. When the upper limit is reached, IDOL Content Component returns the <FULL> flag in the GetStatus action. It removes the <FULL> status only when you remove a sufficient number of documents to reach MaxDocumentCountLower.

To prevent loss of data, engines that are marked as full continue to process index actions. The <FULL> marker is a guide for the component that sends index actions to the server. For example, DIH does not send index actions to full engines when you configure it with the RespectChildFullness parameter set to True. For more details, refer to the DIH Administration Guide.
