Index Notify Configuration Parameters

The [IndexNotify] section contains parameters that control and enable the automatic generation of index job information for a specified host. When you define parameters in this section, the server sends a report action indicating the index ID of the jobs that have finished and their status. It returns the same status codes as the IndexerGetStatus action.

For example, the server might send the following action:

/action=indexreport&indexid=1,5,6&indexstatus=-1,-3,-1

In this example, index jobs 1 and 6 have finished (-1), and index job 5 has finished with a status of -3 (File not found).

A listening application can then use this information for reporting. The report action expects to see an ACI-server style response to acknowledge the report action was successfully received.

You can generate additional information about which documents have been indexed or deleted by specifying fields in the NotifyFieldCSVs parameter.

For example:

[IndexNotify]
Host=10.1.1.10
ACIPort=9992
BatchSize=1
BatchTimeout=10000
ConnectRetries=1
ConnectTimeout=5000
AciPort ConnectRetries NotifyFieldCSVs
