RepositoryStorage is an advanced configuration option. Do not change this parameter value unless it has been recommended by HPE Big Data Platform Support.

RepositoryStorage controls the way that HPE Content Component stores and accesses the dynterm index, which contains indexed terms and their document occurrence information.

By default, RepositoryStorage is set to True, which is the recommended value. This method reduces the disk footprint for the HPE Content Component index, improves the query performance (particularly during indexing), and is more resilient if the indexing process is interrupted (for example, if there is a power failure).

HPE Content Component version 7 used an older index format by default. In most cases, HPE recommends that you index your content into a new installation of HPE Content Component, to take advantage of the new format. However, if you want to upgrade your HPE Content Component components to a version later than 10.0 without reindexing your content, you must set RepositoryStorage to False in your configuration, to remain consistent with the earlier index format. For more information, refer to the IDOL 11 Upgrade Technical Note.
