Security

Allows you to authenticate a user with a third-party repository, or to perform a custom security function.

Example

http://12.3.4.56:9000/action=Security&UserName=Administrator&Repository=NT&Function=Authenticate&Password=abc123&Domain=mycompany

This action uses port 9000 to request authentication for the Administrator user and the password abc123 for an NT repository using the domain mycompany. The security library that performs authentication connects to the HPE Community Component that resides on a machine with the IP address 12.3.4.56.

Parameters

Parameter Description Required
Domain The NT domain of the user.  
Function The function to perform.  
Group The LDAP user directory.  
GroupDN The group object that the user must belong to.  
GroupMemberAttribute The attribute that determines that a user is a group member.  
InputEncoding The encoding of the Password and UserName.  
LoginFieldValue The value for the user that must occur in the configured LoginFieldName.  
OutputEncoding The encoding to convert the results to.  
Password The user security repository password. Yes
Repository The security repository.  
UID The user ID of the user to authenticate. See Comments
UserName The user name of the user to authenticate. See Comments

This action accepts the following standard ACI action parameters.

Parameter Description
ActionID A string to use to identify an ACI action.
EncryptResponse Encrypt the output.
FileName The file to write output to.
ForceTemplateRefresh Forces the server to load the template from disk.
Output Writes output to a file.
ResponseFormat The format of the action output.
Template The template to use for the action output.
TemplateParamCSVs A list of variables to use for the specified template.
